"I was pleasantly surprised with the LM720A, considering its price I didn't expect it to be useful for anything but general Windows use. But the LM720A doesn't have any problems for playing slower paced games or DVD's and the monitor also comes with a 3 year warranty. For faster paced games I'd recommend a monitor with 20ms or 16ms response times to eliminate any blurring which was seen on the LM720A. If your looking for a lower cost 17" LCD monitor I'd definitely recommend you take a look at AOC's LM720A."...» more

Die Einstellmöglichkeiten im OSD sind etwas mager ausgefallen und auch die Funktionen des Fußes sind eher als spartanisch zu bezeichnen. The setting possibilities in the OSD are somewhat slim, and the function of the base is rather spartan. "The AOC screen offers with a resolution of 1 024 × 768 the highest frequency - 120 Hz.It therefore represents real value for your eyes, which, by the way, is the company slogan. The Diamondtron screen offers perfect values of brightness and image contrast ratio, and the image geometry is excellent too.
In the lower corners the convergence was a little worse. The screen pumping test excellent results were excellent. Display parameter alteration is managed via a clearly arranged navigation menu which is controlled through the so called Shuttle Knob, a traditional feature of this brand. In terms of physical size the AOC was the biggest monitor tested. Nevertheless easy and stable manipulation is guaranteed thanks to the high quality base of this screen enabling pivoting the screen in any direction.
We labelled this product as „Perfect Purchase“ for the excellent price/performance ratio. If you would like to invest less than CZK 7000 we recommend to buy this product."

Growing to 17 inches
"What attracted us in this monitor? First of all its reasonable price ($460), which is quite acceptable for a 17” screen with a resolution of 1280x1024 pixel and viewing angles of 130 and 110 . The contrast ratio is 350:1; the manufacturer does not specify the brightness, but our impressions prove that it is sufficient for running through dark underground labyrinths. Owing to the short time of pixel redraw time we can use LM720A both for playing dynamic games and for watching movies.
The appearance of the device became more austere and elegant. The screen frame is made of silver-colored rough plastic and the stand color reminds of anthracite. Like in the 15” model, the stand provides only up and down tilt of the panel but does not allow to adjust the height of the screen over the table. The stand is equipped with two miniature 1 Watt speakers with bright metal caps. Unfortunately, the speakers’ sound was unsatisfactory in the tested samples, music was distorted and nasal notes were added to voices. Dear reader, if your comic talents are lying idle, you will certainly enjoy the sound produced by LM720A. At the same time, the built-in amplifier worked better than the speakers - to see this, we used headphones.."

Der LM720A von AOC der im Gegenstaz zum Vorgängermodel LM700 nur in der Farbkombination Silber und Anthrazit angeboten wird, erscheint solide und gut verarbeitet. Im standfesten Multimediafuß befinden sich 2 Lautspreche sowie ein Audiverstärker mit Regelbarem Ausgang. Trotz silberfarbener Gehäusefront erfüllt der Monitor die TGO-99-Norm und besitzt weitere gängige Prüfsiegel wie etwa das ISO 13406-2 des TÜV.
Negativ fallen das nur 145 cm kurze und fest mit dem Gäret verbunde Signalkabel sowie das lieblos gestaltete und spartanisch ausgestattete Onscreen-Menü auf. Um so erfreulicher, dass durch die gute Qualität der Darstellung bei unterschiedlichen Anwendungen im Office- und Imaging Bereich bis auf geringe Korrekturen kaum noch Einstellungen notwendig sind. Für die individuelle Anpassung von Helligkeit, Kontrast oder Farbe bleibt ein großer Spielraum. Die Schärfe der Darstellung ist tadellos, auffällig ist nur die geringfügig schwächere Leuchtkraft des Panels.
Der LM720A ist da ideale Display für preisbewusste Käufer, die hohen Wert auf gute Ergonomie und Bildqualität unabhängig von der Art der Anwendung legen.
