LCD TV 17" – Expansion of the AOC product line

AOC International (Europe) GmbH has introduced yet another excellent LCD television on the market, carrying its high quality standards over into the field of entertainment electronics.

Berlin, 28 October 2004 – The state-of-the-art 17-inch TV1764 scores high points with its brilliantly sharp images and includes a hyperband cable tuner which can receive all cable channels and store up to 107 channels in memory slots. The LCD TV can be easily connected to a DVD player, a VCR or a video camera via the scart connection or the S-video or video input. It also provides connections for a PC (VGA) and headphones. The infrared remote control with a digital onscreen menu display assures even more ease of operation. It can be used to select all of the important functions on the screen, viewable in six different languages.

The TV1764’s brilliant picture results from the ideal interaction of a contrast ratio of 600:1 and excellent luminance of 450 candela per square metre. These figures underscore the technical standard, the quality which can be expected and the value of the selected panel.

Besides the high resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, the LCD TV boasts a series of additional equipment features. Thanks to the panel technology, both the horizontal and vertical viewing angles are outstanding – up to 170° – so films and pictures can be clearly seen from any angle. Moreover, the 17-inch screen has a picture-in-picture (PIP) function so that it can display video and PC images simultaneously.

AOC International (Europe) GmbH rounds off the 17-inch screen by including a modern teletext decoder with TOP / FLOF technology with memory capacity for 252 pages and Nicam stereo sound. The 17” LCD TV will be available in stores in the middle of December.
