AOC LM800 TFT – a great image for not much money

– AOC International (Europe) GmbH will launch its first 18” LCD onto the European market as of August 2002. The launch of this newly developed product will run in parallel with the launches of other new LCDs and Diamondtron TM CRT monitors.
The LM800 captivates by means of its enormous screen surface of 359 x 287 mm. 3.9 million subpixels work in perfect harmony and provide the user with an excellent image. 16.7 million colours and a contrast ratio of up to 450 to 1 cater for all tastes. All manner of professional and private applications are displayed without difficulty. Multimedia applications can be viewed without any losses in quality due to a reaction time of just 23 ms. In this process it is immaterial whether it is the maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels or one of the smaller resolutions which is supported by modern electronics. They are all represented with ergonomic repetition rates.
The LM800 still remains reserved on your desk despite its 18” diagonals. The two-tone housing does indeed set challenging new trends, but on the other hand it only takes up 230mm of space in terms of its depth and 570 mm in terms of its width. It can be easily lifted to one side when dusting it due to its low weight of just 6.6 kg. It also goes easy on your wallet. On the one hand, the 18” LM800 has a maximum power consumption level of 50 watts and, on the other hand, the purchasing price means that it is a real bargain.
The recommended retail price of the LM800, which will be available in all good retail outlets as of August, amounts to € 775.00 plus VAT.
AOC does justice to its market position in terms of its service offer which consists of a three year guarantee plus the assumption of costs for spare parts and labour as well as an on-site exchange service in a lot of European countries, in all the EU countries for instance, during the guarantee period of 36 months. Even though the failure rates of the AOC products are very low, it is, of course, a matter of course that you shall receive a rapid and good level of service if the worst comes to the worst.
