AOC / TOP VICTORY rises to No. 2 Monitor Manufacturing Globally

Display Manufacturer Outperforms Philips in Global Marketplace

Berlin - July 18, 2001 – AOC International ( Europe ) GmbH, a 100 % company of China based Top Victory Electronics (TPV), announced today that it has overtaken Philips (R) Electronics as the second largest PC computer monitor manufacturer in the world. According to the Market Intelligence Center, (MIC), Taiwan's premier IT industry research and consulting firm, AOC surpassed Philips by a margin of more than 450,000 units shipped during the first quarter of 2001, bringing AOC / TPV's quarterly results to 2.8 million units. For the 12th consecutive year, AOC / TPV has experienced continued growth in the display market, having shipped more than 12 million units in 2000.
